The advanced group follows the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education. In the beginners' group an effort is made for the students to attain a satisfactory level of understanding of the Greek language and grammar. Grades 4 & 5: All students are prepared for the Modern Greek IGCSE (composition and translation), which they are expected to take at the end of grade four. Grades 6 & 7: In the 6th year students begin preparation for the second part of the Advanced Modern Greek Advanced level course which is completed by the end of the seventh grade and the students take the appropriate examination. This comprises translations, questions on specified literary works in prose as well as poetry and questions on the History of Cyprus. Religion Grades 1, 2, 3: During the first three grades religion is taught following the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education. At selected times during the year the students are taken to church to attend mass. |
